The Triangle Spokes Group Is Born

The Spokes Group was founded in 1994 in Charlotte by two local businessmen who realized the difference that could be made in someone’s life by raising money to purchase brand new bicycles for children during the holiday season.  The first year, 17 bicycles were purchased and a tradition was born with now over 16,176 bikes being provided for children since its inception.

The Triangle Spokes Group, now in its second year, was started to bring bikes to children throughout the Triangle this upcoming holiday season. The Triangle Spokes Group and its founding team of volunteers have set a 2nd year goal of 300 bikes for the 2008 Christmas season, and we need your help to get there. We look forward to your support in bringing the dream of a brand new bicycle to children as we all work together Pedaling Joy To The Triangle!
